He is a member of the New York Board of Rabbis (NYBR) and the Suffolk Board of Rabbis (SBR).

He completed his Rabbinical Studies at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and was a post rabbinic fellow of the Beren Institute of Higher Talmudic Studies at YU.

He earned a Masters Degree in Jewish Philosophy from the Bernard Revel Graduate School.

He completed his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and served his residency chaplaincy at the North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, NY and is a member of the Association of Professional Chaplains.

Rabbi Abe is a trained Chazan/Cantor from the Belz School of Jewish Music at YU. He leads services and reads the Torah on a regular basis at the KPJC.

He is a loving and devoted father to his three wonderful sons and on his free time he loves writing, music, creating graphic arts and comedy.
